Luc Montagnier

Cofounder ARMADYNE, OmGeneum, ÉlpisÉremo, and of Nobel Prize Award Winner in Physiology or Medicine for discovery of HIV. Luc is a Recipient to more than 20 major awards: the National Order of Merit; the Lasker Award, Scheele Commander, 1986) and the Légion. Award (1986), Louis-Jeantet Prize for medicine (1986), Gairdner Award (1987), King Faisal International Prize (1993) (Arab Nobel Prize), and Prince of Asturias Award (2000). A member of the Académie Nationale de Médecine. A Researcher at Pasteur Institute in Paris, cofounder of the World Foundation for the AIDS Research Prevention.

 

Luc Montagnier, one of the founding members, died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on February 8, 2022.
